Ryan here, founder of the Indie Music Academy.
Starting this month, we will be rolling out major upgrades to our educational courses. This rollout will begin incrementally and continue till the end of the year as I implement my 2025 educational vision.
Here’s what will happen:
- Videos will be updated/deleted/replaced with newer content
- Entire modules/masterclasses/workshops will be merged, deleted, or replaced with newer material
- Downloadable PDF content may be removed/replaced/updated
- Names of courses may be changed
- Course contents may be altered/replaced/deleted
(In summary, we are going to shuffle a lot of stuff around and your portal could look different.)
What you should do:
- Make a note of your current course library (take a screenshot for future reference)
- Download any PDFs if you wish to keep an older version
- Take detailed notes of any comments or Q&A responses that may not transfer over
- Contact support if you have any questions: support@indiemusicacademy.com
Products Affected:
- All Educational Products
- All Membership Products
Why is this happening?
When I make a course for you, the most important thing is that you get results fast. Time inevitably moves forward, and the music industry changes; it's my duty to educate on the industry's new trends and retire information that no longer serves you as an artist.
What if I do nothing?
You’ll get new and updated content in your portal if you do nothing! The old versions will disappear, and you’ll automatically get the latest training version.
What if I prefer the old training?
The older training versions will no longer be hosted in our course library. To maintain the integrity of our educational materials, downloads of outdated videos will not be available.
Will I lose anything?
You will not lose your Lifetime Status as a student. However, products may combine or be re-developed under a new name as they evolve into the next edition. It is also possible that products will be delivered through alternative methods (such as a download link) and no longer be "hosted" in the login portal.
Why is my portal empty?
Some programs are delivered without using the Indie Music Academy login portal, such as the 8020 Music Business Crash course and the Music Selling Through Storytelling (30-Day Challenge)—which are delivered via email.
It is also possible that the video elements of a program have been deemed outdated, and the downloadable workbooks and PDFs have already been delivered. In this case, your portal will no longer host any video content, but you will retain access to the delivered mind-maps, PDFs, workbooks, and other non-hosted deliverables.
How often does this happen?
This is our first major consolidation, and as the music industry continues to evolve and change, there will likely be more updates in the future. After this year, we should be good for a while, and currently, we don't have any other consolidations planned.
